Minnesota Jaycees Invade Blaine

March 17, 2008 -- The Blaine Jaycees were proud to host this years Minnesota Jaycees State Bowling Tournament.  The tournament was held March 15 and 16 and took place at Blainbrook Entertainment Center in Blaine, which included teams from Jaycee chapters from all around the state.

Blaine's own Keith St. Marie took second place in the men's singles tournament that was held on Saturday, March 15.  In the team competition that was held on Sunday, the teams from Blaine finished in fifth and sixth place.  The Mankato Area Jaycees took home the most trophies, winning first in Women Singles, Mixed Doubles, and Team competition.

"We're pretty happy with how we placed this year", stated event coordinator and Blaine Jaycee Tom Wegscheid.  "The really good bowlers from the Blaine Jaycees couldn't make the tournament this year."  Blaine has usually placed first or second in the tournament for the past six years.

Over 15 chapters from across the state participated in the event.  The Blaine Jaycees would like to personally thank Donnie, Michelle and Bernie of Blainbrook Entertainment Center for letting the Jaycees hold the event at their establishment.   Complete bowling results may be found on the Blaine Jaycee website at www.blainejaycees.org.
